Halo Effect

The halo effect describes a type of cognitive bias, in which a single, often very noticeable trait of a person influences perceptions of their other, unknown traits. This can lead to one-sided perceptions and misjudgments about the person and to the reinforcement of stereotypes or premature assumptions about them.

High ability
-
High ability refers to the above-average intellectual potential of a child between the ages of 0 and 6. Giftedness cannot yet be reliably identified at such early ages for various reasons. If a (substantial) above-average potential for achievement is suspected in a Kita-age child, this is referred to as high or special abilities.
