Inner differentiation

Inner differentiation means providing learners within one group or class with individually adapted support. It enables different learning levels and abilities to be catered to in lessons.

Differentiation can be applied in different ways including the kind of task given, the organization of learning (working individually or in groups), learning content, materials, and support as well as the products that learners create. This kind of setting offers gifted children and adolescents the opportunity to work on (additional) topics in particularly in-depth, accelerated, and/or very individualized ways without having to leave their learning group.
