Observation

Observations and their documentation are used as one part of the educational assessment of giftedness and gifted people to recognize particular abilities in children and adolescents. The aim here is to gain insights into how children and adolescents in Kitas and schools behave during play, social interaction, and learning and use these as a basis for educational decisions. Observations can be carried out using checklists or observation sheets, students’ portfolios, and their educational/learning histories.
